How Hercules, Bella and Chip stay fit

Eat the right amount for your size

Hercules, Bella and Chip always make sure they have the right amount of food for their size. Chip is the smallest so he has the smallest amount of food on his plate, Hercules is the biggest so he has the largest amount of food on his plate. If they eat too much for their size they will become unhealthy. They need to be fit and healthy to fulfil their responsibility to the Villa fans.

    Don’t keep eating if you are full

  • Tip Two

    Eat the amount of food that is right for you, not the same amount as someone who is bigger than you

Eat with your friends and family.

Breakfast is very important to keep you fit and healthy.

Regular Meals

Hercules always eats 3 meals a day. Breakfast, lunch and dinner. Eating 3 meals a day keeps Hercules’s hunger away and his energy levels up.

Tips to eat your 5 a day

Eating 5 fruits and vegetables is easy for Chip. This is how he gets all the vitamins and minerals he needs to stay fit and healthy. Fruit and vegetables also contain lots of fibre. Fibre helps keep our tummies healthy. How many portions of fruit and vegetables do you eat? Could you eat 5 a day like Chip?

Chips Tips

Make a fruit smoothie

Snack on baby tomatoes, raw carrots sticks or fresh fruit

Try tinned fruit in fruit juice with low fat yogurt

Try sprinkling dried fruit on your cereal

Try not to have more than 2 snacks a day

Swap your snacks for healthier ones

Try swapping crisps for rice cakes or biscuits for a banana

Snacking

It’s important for Bella to keep a check on the snacks she eats. If Bella eats too many unhealthy snacks she won’t be able to keep up with the other heroes.

Cutting down on fat and sugar

Eating too many fatty and sugary foods like crisps, chips, cakes and biscuits is really bad for the Villa Heroes. Hercules, Bella and Chips keep these foods for special treats. The rest of the time they swap them for healthier options.

    Swap sweets for an ice lolly made from fruit juice

    Swap biscuits for a banana

    Swap your fizzy drinks for water, milk or fruit juice

Drink More

Hercules always keeps a bottle of water with him to make sure he keeps drinking all day. It helps him to concentrate on the work he has to do to look after the fans. How many glasses of water do you drink each day?

    Try to drink 6-8 glasses of water a day

    Carry a bottle of water with you

  • Tip Three

    Have a jug of water on the table at meal times

60 Minutes of Activity

Chip makes sure he always does at least 60 minutes of activity every day to make sure he stays fit to keep up his super speed. How many minutes of activity do you do each day?

    Playing football, Walking, Playing with friends in the park, Swimming, and Running all count

Getting Active

In your spare time In their spare time the Villa Heroes make sure they don't spend too much time sitting down. They think it's much better to be active and running around than watching TV or playing computer games.
